Complete Beginners in the Online Business Industry
By Christine

I acquired a P.C. about a year ago and I decided I would
make use of it and try to earn some extra income online.
I started off by researching earn extra income at home. I
was specifically looking for data entry work. There were plenty
of choices and I decided on an advert which sounded just the
thing I was looking for, "Earn an extra £300 a month with
simple data entry.
The product I bought was not quite what I thought it would
be. In fact the premise of it was you just resold the product
you had just bought. In other words once I purchased the
product I was expected, as a complete beginner to understand
what I was supposed to do. There was a little guidance but
having little knowledge of how internet marketing works I feel
I was duped into believing I would be doing simple data entry
and earning the extra income I was looking for.
My point is that if you are thinking of going down the
online business road do as much research as possible before you
settle on something or purchase anything especially if you are
a novice.
After my initial disappointment I carried on doing more
research into making money online and the amount of sites
promising untold riches for little effort seemed limitless. At
this point I was more guarded and incredulous of the claims.
Then as I carried on in my searches I realised that there is
people making large amounts of money online, but they are the
people who have a lot of experience and marketing know how.
They have mastered the skills it takes to be at that point.
They do not tell you this while they are trying to sell their
product or system to you. They all had to start somewhere,
which is at the beginning.
What is the beginning? The beginning is the market. To make
any money online there has to be a market for whatever you are
selling. When I say whatever you are selling I mean whatever.
You can sell anything online if there is a market for it. The
mistake most people make is asking what to sell instead of how
to sell. Market before product not the other way around.
The way to research the market is to go to www.keyworddiscovery.com. Enter a word or
phrase and you will get results of how many people search
for it each month and this gives you immediate knowledge of
potential markets. A good area is health/wealth/happiness.
The advice I always come across is to get into something you
are passionate about.
Once you have decided on a market you will need a website. A
simple one page website is all you need and I would advise
selling just one product. Check out www.healingwithkikou.co.uk.
You have researched the market so now the next and most
important thing is building a customer list. Not just any list
but a responsive list. You need to build up a rapport with your
customers by giving them information for free. Continually
trying to sell to them will turn them off.
This is a basic outline of the fundamentals you need to
apply to start an online business. The most fundamental point
being MARKET. There is no reason why you cannot make money
online and create an automatic profit making business.
